Treatment: Sites to Visit
Ask Siggy...
Ask Siggy is a question and answer site managed by an interdisciplinary
group of therapists.
Choose a response from the list. What do you think of the professional's
advice? Would you propose anything different? What orientation do you think
the professional follows? How does this affect the advice they give? (Be
sure to identify the question on which you are commenting in the discussion
group).
A "Simple" Therapy
Loren Parks, President of Psychological Research Foundation, Inc., describes
a simple therapy for depression, mood disorders, anxiety, dyslexia, allergies,
headaches, etc.
Read about the therapy; try it out on a consenting friend if you wish.
What type of psychotherapy is this? Go back to the Home Page (through
the link at the bottom of the page) and read about how this therapy can
be used to treat a number of different disorders. What aspects of
this therapy (if any) might be valid? How would you evaluate whether
this therapy might be effective?
