Are the measures appropriate for addressing the research question?

intro.psych (Psyco 105) Discussion: Group 3 Discussion Group: Reading the Research - Social Development: Are the measures appropriate for addressing the research question?

Yes, I would say the measures are appropriate for addressing the research question. The researchers were thorough and asked what was the youngest age you would go out with, what was the oldest, the age of the most attractive partner and the actual age of dating partners. As far as I can see, these questions seem to address the research question quite completely.

I agree with Jene; these measures do seem appropriate for the research taking place. They ask all the important questions age sex etc.

The type of collection method is a self-report, but it is done in an interview...hmmm... it seems to me that the self-report might be changed in order to not embarass oneself. But if the interviewers handled it cooly it should have been OK.
