In the quiz section of his web page, Dr. J. Cole asserts, like Patricia Devine, that people who are unpredjudiced experience discomfort when they are aware that their reactions reflect cultural stereotyping. Both Dr. J. Cole and Patricia Devine also agree that predjudiced and unpredjucided people can identify the same stereotypes. Dr. J. Cole does not state what motivates a person to be unpredjudiced, however he does state that predjucidial thoughts must be replaced with positive thoughts about the other culture for a change to occur. Patricia Devine, on the other hand, believes that discomfort motivates the individual to censor their predjudicial thoughts/behavior.
