Are the measures appropriate for addressing the research question?

Sort the tasks out here. What tasks did Eich et al. use? Why did they include the tasks they did?

The word stem task was used to help show that there was no priming going on between the 2 personalities involved. i really didn't understand the pictur tests, I didn't think they were well described, or maybe I just need to reread the desciptions J.

Eich et al. used tests that required memorizing things, but they differed in the fact that one was data driven (picture-fragment completion task) while the other one was an excercise in free association(word-stem completion). These tsets comprised the implicit memory part of the experiment. Explicit memory was tested by asking one personality to recall word that other personalities had seen.
I am still having difficulty figuring out all of these tests, so Ill get back to this later.

Okay so the it was two different types of data given to see what is or isn't better remembered. This tkes into acount that we remeber different things diferently. Some are more verbsl some visual. I think thats approprate. It aalso helps to show any generalization that can be ade to "normal" people's memory.

I'm glad that Eich et al. used tests that varied in memory performance. THat is, the fact that he chose tasks that required different senses (for lack of a better word) to complete the task showed that they tried to test all aspects of a person's memory. By doing this, it makes it easier (just a little bit easier ;) to postulate why there is intpersonality amnesia in some tasks, and not in others. One problem I have is that perhaps for the explicit memory tasks, they should have also included a free recall task for pictures as well. The reason for this is that it seems that from the results atleast, the picture-fragment task showed signs that interpersonality amnesia was not present. Therefore, I thought they should have used it for explicit memory as well, to see if the same results would occur.

Eich et al. used two different methods. The first was verbal words which included stems of different words. The other was picture memorization. The two methods showed if they interelated or not. They were tested to see if the same patient remembered the visual pictures as well as the word stem. This proved wether or not priming occured.
