I'm glad that Eich et al. used tests that varied in memory performance. THat is, the fact that he chose tasks that required different senses (for lack of a better word) to complete the task showed that they tried to test all aspects of a person's memory. By doing this, it makes it easier (just a little bit easier ;) to postulate why there is intpersonality amnesia in some tasks, and not in others. One problem I have is that perhaps for the explicit memory tasks, they should have also included a free recall task for pictures as well. The reason for this is that it seems that from the results atleast, the picture-fragment task showed signs that interpersonality amnesia was not present. Therefore, I thought they should have used it for explicit memory as well, to see if the same results would occur.

Eich et al. used two different methods. The first was verbal words which included stems of different words. The other was picture memorization. The two methods showed if they interelated or not. They were tested to see if the same patient remembered the visual pictures as well as the word stem. This proved wether or not priming occured.
