I think for this study, the participants were adequate, since there were a roughly 50/50 girl to boy ratio, and they were within the range in which was to be studied. As well, I thought that in order to make the study more "worthy" so to speak, they should have done the same tests on kids outside of the United States (for example, India, or Germany). Its also important to note that since they didn't tell us how many of the 209 kids tested were found in each age group, we can't rely on the information since it may have been that most of the participants were age 17, which would then make all the other ages invalid, since the sample size would be too small.

partialy, it was close to 50/50 split but, to realy test culture you have to include different cultures. Also if you average out the numbers there was only about 36 participants representing each age. Is this enough to generalize? Also a teen at 12 may think much differently than a teen at 18. I wonder if in a place like Canada where drinking is allowed at a younger age if that would effect the results.
