About the Authors

Eric Eich and Dawn Macaulay are from the University of British Columbia, Canada, Eric Loewenstein is from the Dissociative Disorders Service Line at the Sheppard-Pratt Hospital in Baltimore Maryland, and Patrice Dihle is from Way Station, Frederick, Maryland. Dr. Eich teaches an interesting Internet-based course on cognitive processes that includes information on forms of amnesia. Dr. Loewenstein has written a very informative on-line description of DID

DID is a very complex disorder. People with DID have many symptoms besides multiple identities, they often suffer from depression, drug and/or alcohol abuse, panic attacks, sleep disorders, and self injurious behavior.
