![]() The Learning Enhancement Envelope was founded in 1996 to stimulate use of the most current concepts in learning and technology to develop alternatives that provide new and better opportunities for adult learners at costs that can be justified to Alberta taxpayers.
Technology and telecommunications tools will be used for accomplishing these objectives. The LEE was initially to provide $10 million dollars each year for three years, beginning with the 1996-1997 fiscal year. Recently, Alberta Advanced Education and Development (AAECD) announced that the LEE would be extended for an additional two years. For more information on the LEE program and guidelines for year 4 LEE application, see the following sites: Although we were given a verbal indication that we would automatically receive LEE4 funding last year, we have now been told we have to apply for LEE4. This takes time and effort but allows institutions who haven't been able to participate in the collaborative LEE project a chance to get involved at this stage. Please contact Connie Varnhagen for more information to become involved. | |||||||||||||||
