Psychology Shop


The Psychology Shop purchases, installs, maintains and configures computer hardware and software. The shop also designs and constructs behavioral testing equipment used in research. We are equipped with a paint room, machine shop, electronics area and wood working room. We are your repair specialists for all your electronic and non-electronic equipment and are pleased to offer you general facilitation and support throughout the department. We are located in BS-P102.

Isaac Lank Isaac Lank is responsible for research fabrication needs and assistance with hardware, software, programming support.
Harold Tischer Harold Tischer is responsible for your computer and materials ordering that you require along with general hardware and software PC computer support.
Lou Omerzu Lou Omerzu is responsible for your desktop publishing, graphics or video editing needs along with general hardware and software PC computer support.
Philip May Philip May is responsible for your desktop needs along with hardware/software/networking PC and MAC computer support.

We have many items that are available for use in the shop and for sign out purposes. These include:

  • digital video cameras
  • label printers
  • digital still cameras
  • color laser printing
  • overheads
  • tv/vcr/dvd
  • video dubbing (mpeg, avi, vhs, dv)
  • cassette players
  • laser pointer
  • slide projectors
  • timers and counters

We are equipped with a variety of tools and hardware to assist with your research needs such as:

  • band saw
  • milling machine
  • metal lathe
  • paint booth
  • table saw
  • desktop scanner
